“I had the good fortune of having Hannah Williams as my postpartum doula for the first four weeks after the birth of my son. This was my second baby. With my first, despite support from grandparents and my husband, my self-care was pretty lacking. I muddled through but once I came out the other side and really understood what the fourth trimester was like, I promised myself that next time I’d do things differently.

Hannah’s time with me was the push I needed to actually do those self-care things. She helped me prepare sitz baths and womb steams, brought me teas and tinctures, was my partner in stretching and yoga, and went on slow healing walks with me. When mastitis struck in the third week, Hannah was there with advice, support, and remedies. With her help, I was able to reverse the infection quickly. While I was a second time mom, Hannah still introduced me to many new forms of postnatal care and was a wonderful sounding board and source of wisdom.

In addition to being knowledgeable, punctual, and proactive, Hannah is warm, understanding, and good-humored. I thoroughly enjoyed having her in my home and looked forward to her help each week. I wholeheartedly recommend her as a postpartum doula. ”

“Hannah has been an amazing resource during my pregnancy and fourth trimester. The best way I think I can describe it is like she was a trusted and respected search engine that provided the information without any judgement or bias. Even though I had seen a lactation consultant the help and guidance I received from Hannah in regards to literally the hardest 4 days of breastfeeding gave me the confidence ( she literally walked me through latching, having me practice with her there which was exactly what I needed ) and now breastfeeding is my favorite thing! She also provided insight into sleeping at night, naps, patterns etc. I was literally in a fog the first few weeks and the support Hannah provided was exactly what our family needed.”

“Hannah was extremely helpful, passionate, professional, warm and considerate as our postpartum doula. She helped immensely with pre-planning the postpartum time with my third child. Once baby arrived we appreciated her visits so much. She cooked for us, held the baby, did laundry, played with my older children, and was a sounding board for me through some of my challenges. I felt supported and held by her care. We would recommend her to anyone looking to get the rest, nourishment and care a new mother and her family deserves when welcome a new little one.”
